07 Dec The Declaration of Independence
Here is what the Declaration of Independence says about gun control…
There are two segments of the Second Sentence that apply. First, we are created with the inalienable rights to Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. You cannot pursue your Happiness without Liberty. You cannot have Liberty if you aren’t alive. Therefore, no one’s right to pursue Happiness or Liberty should infringe upon another’s right to Life. Protecting your own life, with or a without a weapon is your most fundamental right and no other right may supersede that. Second, we form governments, “laying its Foundation on such Principle, and organizing its Powers in such Form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.” This means the Second Amendment was put into our government to organize our government’s powers in a way that maximizes our safety.
