13 Jan California Ousting Lucrative Business
In an OpEd in the LA Times on 2017, the CEO of ARGYLE Haus of San Francisco, an apparel manufacturer with 50 employees, announced the company would be moving to neighboring Nevada. The only reason for the move was California’s new $15 minimum wage hike. The CEO, Houman Salem said, “if not for the $15 minimum wage, I’d have zero interest in leaving California.”
